The exact list of channels you’re able to access does depend on where you live. YouTube TV has a zip code search box on its website that allows you to see the exact line-up for your area.
The above list doesn’t even cover all of the add-on channels you can purchase, including Spanish, Filipino and NFL RedZone with Sports Plus networks. Again, you can find the full list including add-ons on the YouTube TV website.
YouTube TV price
YouTube TV isn’t cheap, with the service designed to replace a cable or satellite plan as opposed to simply competing with apps like Netflix and Disney Plus. Prices for the Base Plan currently start at $59.99/month for the first two months and rise to $82.99/month thereafter. There are no annual contracts available, meaning you can cancel whenever you like.

There are also no installation costs, box rental costs, DVR fees, broadcast fees or cancellation costs to factor in.
Thankfully, you can try the service at no cost for the first 10 days by taking advantage of the free trial. This gives you a solid opportunity to explore the streaming service and its content listings to get a feel for whether YouTube TV is right for you before you buy.
Does YouTube TV support 4K?
YouTube TV does support 4K streaming, but you’ll need to purchase the 4K Plus add-on as the feature is not included in the Base Plan.
The 4K Plus add-on enables 4K playback for specific live and on-demand programmes that support the resolution, along with the ability to view unlimited simultaneous streams at home and the option to watch DVR recordings offline on your smartphone.
If you’re already subscribed to YouTube TV, you can check which of your networks support 4K streaming by heading to your app settings and selecting ‘4K’. This includes live and on-demand content from Discovery, ESPN, FOX Sports, FX, National Geographic, NBC Sports, Tastemade and NBA TV.
You can also find 4K content when browsing for channels and programmes by searching ‘4K’ in the YouTube TV interface or simply by keeping an eye out for the 4K icon. If you’re not already subscribed to 4K Plus, you might need to press the down arrow on a programme to expand the video info panel and check if a 4K option of that show is available.
Of course, it’s also important to remember that you can’t stream 4K content on any streaming service unless you have a compatible device, such as a 4K TV or a 4K streaming device connected to a 4K TV. You’ll also need a download speed of 25 Mbps or higher when streaming 4K content.
How to cancel YouTube TV
If you’ve given YouTube TV a shot and have decided that the streaming service isn’t for you, you might be wondering how to cancel your membership.

Because there are no contracts involved, cancelling YouTube TV is easy. You’ll also retain access to all of the content you’ve paid for until the end of your payment period, meaning you can continue to use the service for up to a month depending on when your last payment went out (this doesn’t apply to those on the free trial who lose access to YouTube TV immediately upon cancelling their memberships).
To cancel YouTube TV, go to tv.youtube.com on a web browser or open the Android app. Then, select your profile photo, ‘Settings’ and ‘Membership’. Click ‘Manage’ and choose ‘Cancel membership’. Finally, press ‘Cancel’ to confirm.
If you’re short on cash this month or simply feel like taking a break from YouTube TV, there’s also an option to pause your membership. To do this, follow the link above and select your profile photo. Go to ‘Settings’, then ‘Membership’ and use the slider to choose how many weeks you’d like to pause your membership for, then hit ‘Pause’.
