As the Amazon Spring Sale has just a few hours left, if you’ve been tempted by the Sonos Move 2 but are put off by the high price, then you need to act fast to nab the speaker at 20% off.

One of our favourite portable speakers, the Sonos Move 2 works just as well outdoors as it does inside, thanks to its IP56 rating which means it’s protected against larger pieces of debris and water splashes too.
If the weather takes a turn for the worse, then you can use the built-in handle to simply cart the Sonos Move 2 inside to safety.
Now sporting two tweeters, while its predecessor just included the one, the Move 2 unlocks a higher-fidelity stereo soundstage while its mid-woofer “throws out bass with impressive weight and punch.” There’s also Automatic Trueplay which allows the Move 2 to automatically optimise its sound according to its surroundings.
Once we turned up the volume, we were pleased that not only does the DSP step in to adjust sound to avoid any distortion, but we also didn’t need to blast the speakers. In fact, we found we never needed to get “anywhere near the maximum volume.”
The Move 2 can also work as a smart speaker, with a choice between Amazon Alexa and Sonos’ own Voice Control which is designed specifically for music playback.
Overall we gave the Sonos Move 2 a near perfect 4.5-star rating, with Home Technology Editor Dave Ludlow concluding that its “combination of lift-and-move convenience, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi audio, and full Sonos integration make it unlike anything else, bar its predecessor.”
Dave continues by advising “if you want a speaker that works as well in your garden as it does in your living room, then there’s nothing better.”
